Find peace and solace at the end of a dirt road. The Adventure Cottage lies at the foot of The George Washington & Jefferson National Forest with access to Craigs Creek. The name is a direct reference to the activities you will experience, beginning with the small stream you will cross to gain access. T.A.C. has something to offer most anyone regardless of the season. For the outdoor enthusiast you can hike, hunt, fish, float, or kayak. Two 2-person kayaks & 4 OSFM life jackets provided.

Charming 2 bedroom 1 bath guest house sleeps four looking over the Cowpasture River on a 350 acre working farm. Guest may use of our concrete tennis court and explore miles of hiking trails that lead to the national forest. Farm is surrounded by over 2.5 miles of the Cowpasture River. There is a gravel beach right beside the bridge entering the farm where one can enjoy wading and swimming. River here is 3-4 feet deep depending on the season and stream flow.

Escape to a serene cabin and watch the sunrise over the mountain from a screened-in porch or sleep in and have a river beach picnic later. Kayak, canoe, swim, hike, watch wildlife or just use River's Bend Cabin as your base station for many other recreational activities in the area. Built for $500.00 dollars "back-in-the-day," the Earlehurst Cottage was inhabited by The Carters, a humble, cute old country couple. Here, they raised two daughters. Today, the house is tastefully appointed where expected - & comfortable to modern standards - yet, it has been left as charming, rustic & cozy as it had always been: with elements of the original decor, windows, plaster walls, etc., being preserved. Pets stay for free!
