Besser Block Beauty

Enjoy your stay in a home that showcases part of what makes Alpena so special! This home was built in 1924 out of Bes-Stone split block from Besser Manufacturing Company, produced at the world headquarters, located here in Alpena. It is just as beautiful today as it was when it was built 100 years ago. This home has surprisingly large rooms, as well as all the modern comforts, including central air! Currently in the process of having this home added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Riverfront three+ bedroom home, perfect for a large group or family! Great for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Located at the mouth of the Devil's River, put your boat in at the access and spend the day on Lake Huron. Take your family across the street to the sugar sand beach and Kiddy Park. Pike House Park Place is a freshly remodeled, three bedroom house with everything you need to enjoy a getaway in Northern Michigan! It is located across from the entrance to Alpena's Long Lake Park, where you can take advantage of some of the best year-round fishing in the state. Fantastic mountain-biking and hiking at Rockport State Rec. area is a few short miles away. Stay right at Park Place and enjoy a bonfire, indoor and outdoor games, a home-cooked meal, and relax in front of the tv.

Location, View, Hot Tub, Shop, Restaurants, Beach

My place is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Alpena. There are a variety of restaurants and bars all within 1/4 mile. Lake Huron is my front yard, with tennis and basketball courts available for public use. The Alpena bandshell is a hop and skip from my house; every Saturday there’s a concert in the summer. There are two public beaches within a mile. And you can see masts from sailboats out my front window as the boat harbor is my neighbor.

Close to ORV and snowmobile trails. Perfect for the outdoor adventurer with lots of room for trailers and vehicles. This is a modern and beautiful cabin with all the comforts of home, includes WiFi. No shooting allowed on property except during deer rifling hunting season.

MacFannon Farm Lake Cabin

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cottage in Posen near Alpena and Lake Huron. The cabin sits on a private 3 acre lake across from our farmhouse.. You are free to roam our 33 acres of farmland and forests. It literally is a dream and the air is so fresh. There is a fire pit for nightly fires while you watch for shooting stars. Bring your kayaks and paddle boards for daytime activities on the lake, including swimming.

My place is less than a block from Restaurants, an outdoor Splash Park, and beaches along Lake Huron. Within walking distance is a park with basketball and tennis courts, a bandshell for outdoor concerts in summer and more beach access. If you're looking for a night in, the backyard is private with a firepit and hot tub, or enjoy the game/activity room downstairs.

Scudder's Up North

Our family home is across the street from Lake Huron and public beaches. It is also walking distance from the beautiful and historic downtown Alpena. We are putting a lot of time and love in to making this a fun and comfortable vacation home.
