Forest Floor Guesthouse

The lower level of our Jewel Lake Home with a separate entry, and fun backyard. This is a recent remodel; an eclectic space with vintage wood ceilings and a blend of industrial+ modern detailing. We are 5 minute drive from the airport, and guests can enjoy Alaskan wilderness right from this space. A forested trail system lies right behind our house for walking and biking. Guests may collect eggs from our chickens, use our forest-side hot tub, stoke the firepit, or use paddle boards at Sand Lake.

There is a fully functioning kitchen with everything you need for making your own meals. A washer and dryer. Tea, coffee, creamer, and sugar. Apple TV, DVD player with DVD's and access to WiFi. Maggie's suite at Elephants on 11th is a one bedroom, one bath apartment on the lower level within a 1940s era duplex one block from the Park Strip in Anchorage. This charming space was upgraded within the last five years and includes a compact bedroom with queen size bed, full bath and sitting area with sleeper sofa and kitchenette that includes a small refrigerator, microwave and Keurig coffeemaker. Walking distance to parks, trails and all downtown Anchorage offers.

Fred Meyer grocery is .7 mile away (15 min walk); Costco is 1.7 miles. Behind your interior “front door” is your Queen bed; TV room; kitchenette; and bathroom with tiled walk-in shower and the best backside feature ever: heated bidet toilet. I live and work upstairs. There's plenty of space for all.
