Our home is less than 10 minutes from Ohio University. The log sided cabin sits at the front of our 105 acre property and overlooks a wonderful 16 acre private water ski lake. The cabin has ample private parking and its own 1/2 acre pond located off the front door. This house was our home for 10 years and is setup for family usage. In spring and summer swim and play at the lake. For fall and winter seasons this cabin makes a perfect hunting lodge being close to tons of public hunting land.

The John Copeland House Founder's Room

Walk to OU and Court Street from this historic home! Built by John Copeland, the first President of what is now the O.U. College of Business, in 1900. We have a unique owner-occupied Boarding House license to rent this and our other two rooms located in the prestigious and centrally-located Near East Side. Fully-furnished, with access to the formal living room, dining room, family room, and kitchen. All utilities, internet, laundry included! Mature adults only. NOTE: HOME INCLUDES DOG(S).

The Little Green Caboose @ Hideaway on the Hocking

The Little Green Caboose is a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll! A burnt edge finish to the woodwork in the kitchen and dining area, industrial rail chandelier in the cupola sleeping quarters and an 8 square foot panel of glass on the floor highlighting the wheels and tracks below, all work in sync in this rustic industrial retreat. Toddlers are sure to be further immersed in the train experience after a story in the reading nook tucked alongside the glass floor. All aboard!

The Little Brown Caboose stays true to her history on the Santa Fe railway line with a Southwestern vibe. Upon entry, an amber glass chandelier adorns the 14' high window-lined cupola setting the tone throughout. Warm desert camel and cactus green accents, together with the stone-inspired indoor-outdoor dining area, create an ultra-cozy space that looks out the picture windows to nature beyond. Set at one end of the line, your private firepit area offers great views of the Sanctuary Pond.

Phoenix Farm Bunk House

This studio space has a private entrance and a private covered porch. The cabin has a full size bed and a futon as well as a fully equipped kitchenette. The cabin has WIFI. The bathroom has a small shower and a composting toilet. Towels, sheets and extra blankets are provided. This cabin is the only cabin on the property and is attached to a 40 acre horse farm with hiking trails, fun bird and wildlife watching. Close to Athens, the Hocking Hills, Lake Hope and Burr Oak State Park.

Yellow Dog Barndominium

Our brand new barndominium is a 10 minute drive from Ohio University, yet sits on a 100+ acres in the country. You will find it located near the front of the property, feet away from a 16 acre private water ski lake with beautiful sunset views. Visitors can enjoy hiking, fishing and swimming during their stay. We designed this as a couples retreat, including a 4 person hot tub, but a second bedroom with a full bed and twin trundle can accommodate friends or family who may join you.
