Our property is also a working flower farm, home to a wide variety of Heliconias and Gingers. The lodge is completely self‑sustaining. Fresh spring water flows though the property a gravity‑fed system, our on‑site waterfall generates clean hydroelectric power. Guests often tell us it feels like staying in a hidden, eco‑friendly sanctuary where nature does all the work.

The property is entirely off-grid and is situated in a wildlife hotspot, with 100 acres of wet tropics rainforest connected to the World Heritage listed Maalan National Park. An ideal base for nature lovers to explore the Atherton Tableland, the bird list includes over 200 species, including Victoria's Riflebird, Blue-faced Parrot finch. Mammals include Tree kangaroos and Herbert River and Green Ringtail Possums.

Most guests wished they could have stayed longer so consider to stay an extra night.

Sleeping up to 6 comfortably, including the family pet (please advise if they will be joining on) our home is in historic Yungaburra. Walking distance from shops and restaurants. A wonderful place to stay, rest, and continue on your adventure. You MUST read the “rules” BEFORE booking.
