Located in the heart of the country, Oakbrook Akers Cabin is an absolute retreat! Relax on the many porches overlooking the pond, take time to meander to the dock to fish, enjoy s'mores over the stone fire pit or spend the evening at the grilling station in our covered patio. In the winter, tuck yourself away in the cozy cabin complete with a wood burner, having a movie or game night (with popcorn of course)! Built by my father, we hope you cherish your time spent here just as our family has.

The Hideaway at Howard Farms

Welcome to your private 15-acre escape: where peace, wildlife, and comfort come together. This 2-bed, 2-bath upper unit sleeps 5-6 people with a queen master and a full-over-full bunk room. Mornings bring deer right through the yard, and evenings are perfect for stargazing on the new deck. Hunters will love staying during Illinois deer season. Whether you’re here to hunt in Pike County, watch the wildlife, or simply relax in the quiet countryside down a gravel road, this retreat is for you.

The Cottage

The Cottage was built in 1903, with the age of the home comes with many flaws, you will find cracks in walls, ceilings, maybe even glass. The scuff each have a story and the stories that could be told, if paint were able to talk. The home is not perfect, but just affordable and cozy. We do allow dogs on our property, cats are not allowed, we apologize. We strive to make your stay comfortable by including the home with essential items needed for the duration of your stay.

Bunkhouse Seventy-Four

Once used by seasonal farm labor in the 1930s, Bunkhouse Seventy-Four is a fully restored historic bunkhouse with all the modern amenities for a comfortable getaway. Perfect for couples, it features a full kitchen, bath, queen bed, a spacious porch, beautiful antique stained glass windows, a private outdoor soaking tub (Apr-Nov) on a 7 acre hobby farm. Also check out our listing, Audrey’s Abode, which is next door. Pets are welcome but we charge a $25 pet cleaning fee.
