It has a separate entrance through a side gate and it's own private rear deck, with a seating and dining area... that overlooks Sausal Creek and Dimond Park. The tall willow that grows along the creek gives the deck the perfect amount of privacy and with the tranquil sound of the creek flowing (not during dry season) you would almost forget you are in an urban city.

This magical garden retreat is a short hop to San Francisco. Three sun filled rooms in a 19th century train station are set above fruit trees and mini meadows with a Japanese style soaking tub for one or two. Step out to the beach, park, nature preserve, restaurants, shops and coffee houses. All within .02 miles. Take the bus or boat to downtown San Francisco (15-25 minutes) Charming on site hosts. This is a lovely home to stay in for those looking to explore the Bay Area. It is a quintessential Mill Valley house near Mt.Tamalpais, Stinson Beach, and San Francisco. It is a short walk to the village where there are shops, restaurants and theaters. Hiking trails are nearby. The house is located on a hillside and there are quite a few stairs . There is a studio apartment downstairs where I sometimes stay there with my poodle, Gigi.
