Our secluded cabin is surrounded by ancient oak tree forest and all the wildlife that comes with it. It’s so peaceful that you will only hear the river and the birds. Set in 10 acres of our own land for you to explore and easy access to Snowdonia public foothpaths, it’s perfect for those looking to spend some time in nature. With beds for 8 people in the main house & 4 in the annex it is perfect for three families or a group of friends. The 2 bathrooms in the main house are clean & modern. The kitchen is well equipped. The annex (small additional cost) has a bunk bedroom & shower room upstairs, downstairs living room with sofabed & kitchenette. Blaenau Ffestiniog was designated a UNESCO world heritage site in August 2021.

Cae Canol Bach provides a lovely romantic get away. Situated on the lower slopes of the Manod mountain you will be surrounded by spectacular views of the valleys flowing towards the sea. This cosy hideaway offers a galleried mezzanine bedroom above an open plan spacious living area with wood burning stove, kitchen and shower room. We allow well behaved pets who are NOT tempted by sheep. A 4x4 is required between October and April and recommended between April and October.

If you like modern, characterless boxes please don't even consider it. It is situated in a very quiet area but only a ten minute walk from the town centre and Ffestiniog Railway in one direction and the Llechwedd Slate Mine and Zip World Complex in the other. You can also walk straight into the mountains from the doorstep.

Come hideaway, hibernate, nestle and nuzzle.. tend fires, read, jump in our lake, pick salad and eggs from the farm... This cabin offers the perfect place to step into a different pace, to be at one with nature, to slow down and think about what matters in the world.

Traditional 19th Century Slate Miners Cottage

A characterful original slate miner’s cottage dating from the late 1800s. Located in Tanygrisiau, just outside the historic slate-mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, the cottage is a short walk from local shops, amenities and the village pub. A narrow-gauge heritage steam railway runs along the bottom of the garden and can be seen from all rear-facing windows. Ideally placed for Llechwedd Slate Caverns, zip wires, mountain biking and mountain walks.
