Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Cottage near Edinburgh, West Linton, Borders

Sole occupancy of this home. Freshly decorated to a high standard with modern appliances and plenty of room with a cosy atmosphere throughout. All rooms are light and pleasantly comfortable. Sleeps three with one double room with kingsize bed and en-suite bathroom and one single room and a second bathroom with shower. Living room with log fire. Oil central heated. Lots of storage for bikes, fishing gear, ample parking and outdoor area (not enclosed) for sitting and enjoying the enviable views.

Stunning Edinburgh 1820s stables converted house

East House sits within Ratho Park Steading: a stunning Scottish courtyard stable (built 1826; converted 2021). It borders Ratho Park Golf club (area of outstanding beauty), a walk from the heart of Ratho village, 8miles from Edinburgh centre. Rooms are stylishly furnished (with wifi), and proudly eco-friendly (ground source heated). The property has parking, doors to the courtyard, patio with views looking onto a beautiful fairway, and a path to the gardens, fire pit, ruins and historic canal.

Hardgatehead Cottage.

Farm cottage tucked away in a rural idyll, this haven of peace is surrounded by panoramic views and situated in the middle of a working farm. You will only have sheep, perhaps some cattle and plenty of wildlife for neighbours. A car is recommended, you will be a 6 minute drive from the village of West Linton which is in easy reach of Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders. There are plenty of scenic walks from the doorstep or relax and enjoy the woodburning stove and the views.

Ancient Castle above the River Tweed

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

A cosy, spacious and tranquil cottage on Station Road, Biggar which is just over a 5 minute walk to the shops, restaurants and pubs in Biggar High Street. There is a large driveway for up to 4 cars and a locked shed for bicycles. The cottage has two King Sized beds, large living dining area, fully fitted kitchen and a large walk in shower. The cottage is the perfect place to stay when attending weddings, a base for work or just a few days away. It is a real home from home.

Hareshaw Cottage, Baddinsgill

Nestled in the heart of the Pentland Hills, this traditional stone shepherd's cottage on a working hill farm looks out over scenic Baddinsgill Reservoir. Fully renovated to a high standard in 2022, the cottage is the perfect base for those who wish to get off the beaten track. Explore the surrounding hills and woodlands by day, then curl up by the cosy woodburner in the evening. Edinburgh is just 40 minutes by car, but feels a world away in this peaceful rural retreat.

Bizzyberry Lodge is a luxury modern log cabin, complete with hot tub set in it's own private woodland garden with stunning views of Tinto Hill and surrounding countryside. Here guests can enjoy the privacy of a peaceful get away, but have the convenience of being located just 1 mile from the traditional Scottish market town of Biggar, only 1 hour to Edinburgh and Stirling and just 40 minutes to the heart of the Scottish Borders. Sorry but no pets at this property.

The Great Hall, Dollarbeg Castle

This 2 bedroom apartment is the beautifully converted former Great Hall of Dollarbeg Castle. Built in 1890, Dollarbeg Castle was the last gothic baronial style building of its type ever built. Beautifully restored in 2007 to the very highest standards, it was converted into 10 luxury properties, one of which is a conversion of the original "Great Hall" with its vaulted ceiling and majestic views across the formal grounds towards the Ochil Hills in the distance.
