Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

A short walk away is a fire table & private hot shower. Soak in your private hot tub or explore nearby hiking trails. Additionally the nearby creek offers the perfect white noise for an enjoyable night sleep!

Beautiful tiny home, wooden swings hang by thick hemp rope at your own outdoor breakfast bar. Hike to a lake from here, go fishing, ski Whistler. Drift off to sleep in luxury linens.

The Owls Perch Treehouse ~Luxury Treetop Retreat~

Private Modern Treehouse on Highland Farm

Designed as a nod to my heritage, Skoghus ('forest house' in Norwegian) was crafted for relaxation, and reconnecting with nature. The treehouse sits in the centre of a Scottish Highland cattle farm, with pasture and forest in all directions. From the yard, you'll be able to observe and engage with the farm's cattle when they come by. Inside, you can disconnect and unwind, with luxury amenities. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in a tiny house on wheels? Enjoy this lovely, luxury 36’ tiny house nestled in this romantic spot overlooking Kawkawa Lake and Ogilvie Peak, with the sun setting behind you on Mount Hope. Tucked off the main road, enjoy nature as the deer, bear, coyotes, marmots, chipmunks, frogs and other animals walk past the tiny house to the local pond. Perfect for a romantic getaway. The Caravan

Secluded Mountainside Airstream + Outdoor Tub & AC

Introducing Moonshot the Landyacht, the Airstream at Wildernest! A perfect getaway just a 20 minute ferry ride from West Vancouver on the forested slopes of Bowen Island. This 1971 Airstream has been totally rebuilt into a super comfortable and memorable escape. It's a great couple's vacation, completely private on its own acre of land. There's a separate indoor heated bathroom and shower, plus an outdoor hot water shower and vintage bathtub built for two.

Rustic cabin in the woods

Mid-island, this rustic cabin is perfect for any couple (or small group) shacking up in the woods. Features a full kitchen inside, outhouse, outdoor shower, fire pit, covered porch & access to pebble beach trails, making this a magical retreat. Please note that while there is wi-fi at the cabin, there is no cell reception on the property, and many guests have mentioned that they’ve enjoyed the chance to unplug and connect with nature.

The Yellow Maple

This creek side stay is located in a small private campground in the middle of peaceful country side. 2 minutes away from entrance to Jones lake and 10 min to the town of Hope.
