New Forest cottage by the green

The cottage is in a magical position, at the edge of Lyndhurst, on the green and just over the cattle grid. It is just a short walk in to Lyndhurst for restaurants, cafes and shopping and there are great walks and cycling direct from the house. Remember to keep the gate shut whenever you are coming and going as the ponies, donkeys and cows are free to meander just outside and they are always keen to help themselves to the greenery in the garden.

At Nuthatch the open Forest is, quite literally, on the doorstep. Guests can take in the wide views of green and woodland and watch ponies wander by from a bench in the front garden or a comfy oversized armchair in the cottage’s bay window. This charming, mews-style village cottage was imaginatively fashioned from part of Brockenhurst’s iconic Cloud Hotel – itself created from a group of Forest cottages back in the 1900s.
