The Hideaway, perfect retreat near the Cairngorms

The Hideaway nestles into the foothills of the Cairngorms Naional Park, built of traditional granite stone, hand built by the owner over a 4 year period, features 18 douglas fir truses providing an inspiring environment for guests with the open plan layout: the family room, kitchen and dining area. There are fantastic walks & cycling routes to explore right from the doorstep, along with coffee spots, restaurants & local shops a short drive away.

Idyllic Farmhouse in Stunning Deeside Location

Blackness Farmhouse is a traditional cottage still retaining many of its original features. Bathrooms and kitchen have been modernized, open fires replaced for wood burners and carpeting added to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The cottage was our home while we converted the nearby barns into our new house. and although storage was tight for a busy family of 6, we loved our time living there and always felt it would make a perfect holiday home. We hope you enjoy your stay.

The Farm Bothy Cottage

The Farm Bothy cottage offers luxury accommodation on a working sheep farm. It is self-contained, within a modern steading/barn conversion. We live in the other wing of the house. You can explore the farm, woodlands and our garden. Ideally located for visiting nearby castles and distilleries the area also has great cycling, golfing, fishing and horse-riding. Our local pub is a mile away. The nearest town, Alford, has a pub, restaurant, shops, supermarket, parks and museums.
