This classic Tk has been described as a cottage on wheels, with handmade furnishings, hot shower, wood burning stove, gas hob, and lighting throughout. The sleeping area is a double bed with luxury bedding. Firewood is provided as well as fire pit with all BBQ equipment. Hot tubs available.

The Carriage is set on tracks where the original line ran through Ullock on the fringe of the Lake District National Park, with the river Marron running below. Surrounded by miles of footpaths, bridleways and moorland, there are walking, cycling and riding options in every direction. Nearby rural pubs offer delicious local ales and fantastic food. Or cook up something tasty over the firepit grill, then enjoy a drink on the raised deck in the evening sun.

TINY HOME Railway Carriage No.1 - Stunning Views

At the end of a wooded lane through a farm gate are two converted 1930s cargo rail carriages. Recovered from the NE Railway they retain many original features while transforming these relics into cosy tiny houses. Carriage No. 1 is a light open-plan space with white washed tongue and groove walls and reclaimed school gym flooring. The double-glazed doors open onto a little private garden and the meadow with stunning views across woodland and the National Trust Gibside Estate.

Archie is a charming bespoke shepherd’s hut, set in its own garden space at the top of our shared garden area. Archie offers a nostalgic space for unwinding, there’s only Archie - no other pods or huts near you. Facing southwest there are lovely views. Archie has a double bed, en-suite shower room and toilet, kitchen area with hob,microwave, fridge, fold out dining table and underfloor heating to keep it cosy. Additionally outside there’s a kitchen area, bbq , firepit & seating.
