Secluded Off-Grid Mountain Cottage

Private stand-alone cottage on a beautiful farm 1.5 hours north of Cape town and 30-40 minutes from Elands Bay. This is a very simple, off-grid, self-catering cottage with beautiful mountain views, a dam to swim in and hiking access to the entire 2000 hectare farm. The farm has established hiking and mountain biking trails, horse riding on request and established sport and trad rock climbing routes. The cottage has two fireplaces, a gas stove, fridge, a 'donkey' water heater and solar power.

Children can swim/kayak,catch fish off the rocks. The cottage is small and cosy, its a simple place, the stoep is large but open, so nights are cool. WOOD - fired hot tub . Perfect for doggy lovers as it has a private enclosed garden, set at the back of Zula Beach House which sleeps 10. Hi speed WiFi. A gas BBQ and a fireplace for the cold winters. on Langstrand Beach, away from the hustle and bustle. It is popular with surfers, kite and windsurfers. A pet fee applies. No children under 16.

The house in Lalaland

You’ll love my place because it is on top of a mountain where you are surrounded by fruit orchids and mountains. Also, loadshedding does not affect us as we are on solar. We are only 160km from Cape town. We live right next door but do not mind a good party, all within limits of course! The dam is a short walk away where you are welcome to use the two paddle boards and canoe. The house can keep you entertained with pool table, boardgames, books, WIFI and ping pong table.
