Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Det finns utemöbler och möjlighet att grilla. Här finns även laddare till elbil som kan lånas mot en kostnad. Fem minuters gångavstånd till både affär och pizzeria. 7 minuter från E6:an motorväg. Ca 1 mil till närmsta stad, Landskrona, där det finns fina badplatser, shopping och mycket annat.

Lejligheden ligger i et roligt villakvarter. Der er to minutters gang til Hornbæk Plantage. Det er en hundeskov og det tager kun 10 minutter, at gå ned til kysten. Hunde er velkomne, men vi er old school og accepterer ikke hunde i seng, stol, sofa og andre møbler. Din hund skal kunne sove på gulvet og vi stiller gerne en hundeseng til rådighed.
