Welcome to Deer Hideout Retreat! We are located in Palmyra, Virginia, on two acres of land. There's an abundance to see and to do around here, and we hope you choose our home for your stay. We are far enough outside of the city to enjoy the peace and quiet, but just a short drive to all the action. We are close to Monticello, James Monroe's Highland and 28 minutes away from the city center of historic Charlottesville. There are plenty of vineyards all around us and a couple of orchards, too.

Space includes a large screened in porch w/ bed swing, patio area & swimming pool. No diving - deep end 6ft. View of woods on back of property w/ sunrise through the trees in morning. The Pine Grove Cottage is just 3 miles from the bustling Zion Crossroads retail and business area (and from Interstate 64), but is in a secluded, quiet rural spot. Professionally decorated and luxuriously furnished, the Cottage can accommodate up to 7 people if the sofa bed is included. It is great to be so near to Charlottesville, on the Monticello side of town, with quick access to all Charlottesville has to offer. So many wineries close by. Beautiful countryside. Yet affordable.

Boxcar with floor to ceiling glass doors

Guests staying in the Boxcar have access to the shared amenities of Rassawek Station including the patio “Flat Car” and our Lodge Cabin. Guests also have access to our ponds and 5+ miles of private country roads for hiking, running and biking. The boxcar living area has a sofa and coffee table and small area with table, two chairs and a mini fridge/freezer with a Keurig. The bedroom has a queen bed and dresser and there is a full bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.

VERY secluded with PRIVATE River access, STUNNING views, and a Hot Tub! A unique property offers modern amenities with a cabin feel. Granite countertops and upgraded appliances, custom tile showers, high quality mattresses, leather reclining couch. But the best part is the covered porch overlooking the James River! With your own private river access, you can enjoy a cool dip in the water or just the serenity of the peace and quiet. Lots of wildlife and stunning views.

Black Cat Retreat

Private entrance. upstairs, Lots of light, Wrap around deck! Full private bath in room. Large room with a small kitchenette. Refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker a kitchen sink and induction burner to cook on. Also washer and dryer in the room. Upon your arrival there will be Banana Nut Bread, fruit & filtered water. All cotton sheets on the queen size bed (plus for the full size air mattress in room.) Cotton towels, shampoo, blow dryer, iron and ironing board.
