Gypsum is 4 miles from the Eagle Airport,24 miles east of Glenwood Springs and located between Vail and Aspen. This area offers skiing,flyfishing, rafting, hiking, biking, horse riding and many other activities.

Riverfront Studio in Basalt

The River Nook is located directly on the Frying Pan River and within walking distance from downtown Basalt. This cozy riverfront studio unit is approximately 160 square feet. Offering an efficiency kitchen complete with an electric two-burner stove, mini-refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. There is a queen-sized bed as well as a comfy chair and a small desk. This is the perfect size for one or two people who are here to enjoy all that Basalt and the Aspen area have to offer.

Welcome to our Basalt Estate. We live on a secluded road in the seven castles community and you will be in complete Colorado wilderness and privacy. However our internet is fast :) One of our favorite amenities about our property is that we have a private hiking trail right in our backyard that is a 4 mile round trip hike to waterfalls. Aspen and Snowmass is about 30-45 min away. Downtown Basalt where you can find restaurants, gas and coffee shops is a 12 minute drive down the frying pan.

Hear the river at the Frying Pan Studio

Basalt's location is convenient to both ends of the Roaring Fork Valley. It is ten-minute walk along the Frying Pan River to downtown Basalt. However, transportation is recommended. We accept pets at the studio, either one large or 2 small; there is a $50 pet fee. Please let us know if you wish to bring yours. We ask that the pet be kennel if left behind while you go out. Obey Town of Basalt's leash and patrol ordinances. Drop cloths provided if they are allowed on furniture.

Hiking & Fly Fishing on Gold Medal Waters are right outside the door and just a 25 minute drive to all 4 Aspen ski areas. The Villa Costalotta (we are being facetious) is a standalone building separated from our cabin by a paved alleyway. We live out in the country, just 3 miles from Eagle, with no near neighbors so mostly what you hear is the creek behind the building and the nearest neighbor’s rooster crowing. We have installed Starlink for internet service with over 100Mbps download speed.
