There is a garden and sun terrace with views across the Leven Estuary. Cottage access via 15 steps from the road.

Bay View Cottage is a fabulous ENTIRE Ulverston home extremely well suited for a romantic escape for two people or for working in the area, or working at home, great WiFi. Very peaceful here no road noise lots of bird song, cosy up and enjoy the panoramic view. Very close to town centre it has own entrance with a key safe, so arrival time can be totally flexible, and there is private parking. We use a Professional cleaning service to ensure the place sparkles. Much better than a hotel room!

A well appointed holiday home in an elevated position, with fabulous views, exclusively for welcoming families and walking groups, luxuriously appointed with plenty of additional attention to smaller details in order to make guests feel welcome, comfortably catered for, and extra special. A great base to get away from it all, relax completely, and yet in close proximity to Ulverston, western lakes and also central lakes - Windermere is about 45 minutes drive away. Waterside house is an ancient farmhouse which sits in a large garden surrounded by fields and woodland, it has belonged to the Finsthwaite estate since it was build in 1580 . Its historical character is shown in the large fireplace and the beams, which add to the charm. Waterside is known as the home of the “Finsthwaite Princess”. who was the alleged illegitimate daughter of Bonnie Prince Charlie. She lived in three rooms on the first floor which were panelled out of scotch pine for her.
