Yosemite NP is about an hour away, via 2 entrances, with year-round activities for all activity levels. Relax by our outdoor fireplace, enjoy the outdoor kitchen or just lay low. We are an easy drive to the Bay Area, Lake Tahoe and Yosemite. We are child and business friendly, with high speed internet, scavenger hunts for children and adults, fairy garden tea parties and more. Six guest maximum. No exceptions.

Sugarloaf Madrone Studio is tucked into the slope of Sugarloaf Mountain, overlooking the 7 Hills of Nevada City. It is a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk to downtown restaurants, arts, and nightlife. Despite its proximity, you will feel like you are in the country with pastoral views, local parks, and a quiet neighborhood. You will share the house with a totally separate apartment on the ground level. The Madrone Studio is great for rest, relaxation, and being close to nature.
