Hegranes guesthouse on a farm

We would like to welcome you to come and stay in our lovely guesthouse at our farm in the heart of Skagafjordur. Here you can relax and enjoy your evening in our hot tub, take a walk to visit our calm and gentle horses, we also own a beautiful lake and we are "forest farmers" i.e. we plant 10.000 trees each year and we can highly recommend a stroll through our young forest to the lake. There will be sheep, chicken, cats and dogs around and next to the house there is a beautiful old church:)

The farm is settled in the most beautiful scenery you can imagine. Powerful mountains all around, sound of the fresh salmon-river, waterfall in the breath taking canyon. Aurora Borealis from your window, when the conditions are right. Great for getting away. Relax or be creative. Mindful hiking in the untouched nature and enjoy farm live. Middle of nowhere, and yet it is only 22 km. drive from Reykjavik City Center. Many points of interest are within easy reach like the Golden Circle, 2 min.

A quiet place with a stunning view for small group

The house is located on a small farm in north Iceland. Guests have a lot of privacy in the house as it stands alone. You might see our horses and even sheep close to the house. Our dog and cat are friendly and might pay you a visit. You can go for short walks among horses, sheep and birds in a varied landscape. During the winter, there is a unique experience to sit in the hot tub and watch the northern lights. The house is a good place for home office due to high speed wi-fi and facilities.

Nónsteinn is one of three cabins that we own. Nónsteinn, Grásteinn and Grýlusteinn. Our cabins are a perfect getaway place to enjoy the nature at it fullest while relaxing with a breathtaking view. Gunnu Hús by Meðalfellsvatn ( Our lakeside cottage nestles at the foot of Medalfell mountain and the garden leads right down to the lake. The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.
