Mattie’s house is in the village of Port Ellen,very central 5 minutes to the ferry port and minutes to the sandy beach.There are shops and hotels and distilleries all within walking distance,if you are coming by car there is on street parking and if you are coming by public transport the bus stop is meters away,please be aware we are in a residential area.The house has one double bedroom,one twin,living room,kitchen and bathroom with walk in shower,there is oil central heating in the property.

Pier House

Pier House is beautifully located with stunning views. A huge lounge with Juliette balcony. The house is presented over 2 floors with the living room on the upper floor to maximise the exceptional vista. The house has all modern facilities and comes well equipped and presented. There are 4 bedrooms, a main bathroom, a separate wc and the master bedroom is complete with its own en-suite and shower. The property is on the edge of the beach and next to the pier, utterly perfectly located.

The Black House, Islay

The Black House is a unique property situated between Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte on the island of Islay. We use the house for High School to save commuting from Jura every day so don’t expect a pristine holiday let but rather a loved family space. There are 2 double beds and 2 bunk bedrooms (if you’re a party of single adults then 4 is the maximum number). Views are stunning and Islay’s great for whisky, wildlife or just rest and relaxation. Gartartan is spacious with efficient underfloor heating and insulation. The open-plan living area has an abundance of light, wooden flooring throughout and a modern wood-burning stove. Bluebell cabin with wood fired hot tub

Bluebell cabin is set in an spruce plantation which is a 25min walk into Port Ellen . Outside the cabin features a log fired hot tub with views over the Oa perfect for relaxing after a day of taking in the scenery or distillery tours, the gas BBQ and viewing deck will leave you feeling peaceful and content. Inside is home to a sleeping Mezzanine, kitchen area, electric heating and a modern bathroom with a log fired stove at the very heart of the cabin. Slainte! Karen & Richard

Portbahn House, near Bruichladdich Distillery

Portbahn was our family home before moving to Jura, and we hope you'll find it as welcoming as we did. This modern waterfront house sits right on Islay's scenic coastal route with stunning loch views. Sleeps 8 across 3 ground-floor bedrooms—perfect for families. Large enclosed garden with trampoline and swings. Walk to Bruichladdich Distillery (10 mins), beaches, and coastal paths. Underfloor heating and wood-burner make it cosy year-round. Dogs welcome. The Wee House

The Wee House is a one bedroom seafront cottage looking onto Port Ellen. Sleeping up to 4 guests with a sofa bed (full size double) in the living room. Listing price is for 2 guests sharing the bedroom. If the sofa bed is required for bookings of 2 guests please let us know as there is an extra charge (£10 per night). The cottage is within walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants and near to the distillery path taking you to Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.

Coull Farm Cottage - Stunning Beach Views

Coull Farm self catering holiday cottage is situated on the farm itself. The farm is in a rural location on the west coast of Islay overlooking sea, five minutes walk from the world famous golden sands of Machir Bay. The hills, sea and moorland surrounding the farm are filled with wildlife and flora. To the back of No7, you’ll find a good sized garden with views down to Lagavulin Bay.
