Mattie’s house is in the village of Port Ellen,very central 5 minutes to the ferry port and minutes to the sandy beach.There are shops and hotels and distilleries all within walking distance,if you are coming by car there is on street parking and if you are coming by public transport the bus stop is meters away,please be aware we are in a residential area.The house has one double bedroom,one twin,living room,kitchen and bathroom with walk in shower,there is oil central heating in the property.

An Sonachan

An Sonachan is a modernised bungalow situated on the edge of the Bowmore. This spacious, well appointed accommodation sleeps up to 7 people in 4 bedrooms. A large dining kitchen, well equipped with American style fridge freezer, range cooker, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine, has outstanding uninterrupted views of Loch Indaal. The dining/lounge area is perfect for watching the glorious sunsets and the various Islay bird life. A separate comfy lounge area is available with open fire.

The Black House, Islay

The Black House is a unique property situated between Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte on the island of Islay. We use the house for High School to save commuting from Jura every day so don’t expect a pristine holiday let but rather a loved family space. There are 2 double beds and 2 bunk bedrooms (if you’re a party of single adults then 4 is the maximum number). Views are stunning and Islay’s great for whisky, wildlife or just rest and relaxation. Daisy features a small bathroom, kitchen, lounge area and bedroom alongside an outdoor wraparound deck complete with gate for keeping dog in or mine out . Hot tub area where you can relax under the stars. The outdoor space also has bbq and dining area. Turn left or right at bottom ofdrive & you will arrive at beach , or just take in Bird life in the valley .

Whether you’re looking for a family break, a whisky enthusiast on the trail or a keen cyclist looking to explore the island, No7 Lagavulin is the perfect base for your Islay adventure. This traditional 3 bed ground floor distillery cottage features two double bedrooms and bunk bedroom (Sleeps 6) with separate living room, kitchen and main shower room. To the back of No7, you’ll find a good sized garden with views down to Lagavulin Bay.
