There are two barbeque (braai ) areas, indoors and outdoors on the seaview deck. Enjoy uninterrupted seaviews from the lounge and wake-up to the soothing sounds of the ocean in the two seafront bedrooms.

The Saltpan is fed only by rainfall and run-off from the mountains and in years when there has been low rainfall the pan often dries out.

Welcome in our charming cottage with the sounds of the little river, frogs and the ocean in the background. Betty's Bay is well known for its unspoiled nature, mountain, fynbos, beaches, lakes and gorgeous African (jackass) penguins. The penguins are within walking distance. The famous Harold Porter Botanical gardens is 5 minutes drive away. Betty's Bay has endless hiking, surfing, angling and snorkeling opportunities. A local grocery store is about 700 metres from the house.

Neighbor to award winning wine farms, situated in the pristine Banhoek Valley. 8 minutes drive to central Stellenbosch, 25 minutes to Franschhoek. The sand dunes are 15 meters from the house, and the beach a 3 minute walk Great for 1 or 2 families with up to 6 children, or 3 couples. Please note: not suitable for more than 6 adults. The house is set up with a well equipped kitchen, in- and outdoor braai, board/lawn games and a TV with Netflix.
