A private boat dock with plenty of room for gathering, a 2 story deck and all the amenities - this is the perfect spot for a family and friend getaway. The house is close to a launch ramp and the long, flat driveway allows for easy access for boat trailers and lots of vehicles. All you need for a perfect lake vacation! The kitchen is very well- appointed for all your needs. Bedrooms have comfy mattresses with fresh sheets and towels for each bathroom. Stop at the gas station to fill up and grab snacks and ice, have breakfast at the Diner, and then head to the trails. After a days ride stop for dinner in town. The Lake is a short hike from your door and is great for fishing, boating, water skiing, hiking, wildlife, camping, and picnicking.

Historic year-round cabin along lakeshore w/dock

The lake home was built in the early 1930's to house the engineers constructing the entire TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) system that created dams and hydro-electric power throughout the region. It also provided jobs that helped with employment during the Great Depression. A wonderful addition we made recently was a dock, which remains in the water from sometime in March until late October. Please note this is an old, quaint home. It has its quirks.
