My place is all about vibe and feeling. This is a home, what air Bnb is supposed to be. Not an investor trying to make a quick $. It’s why I fell in love with the place, and why my guests do too! A stones throw to the local buzzing Balaclava neighbourhood, where you can enjoy some classic Melbourne cafes and shops. The train station is a 3 minute walk away, and will get you to the CBD in 12 minutes. The iconic Chapel Street is also only a few blocks away, or St Kilda Beach is 5 minutes by car.

We are not always in residence, however if we are we do our utmost to ensure privacy & a peaceful stay for our guests. We are only 2 minutes walk to the Great Victorian Rail Trail with no major roads to cross, so its a great stop over for bike riders. We are approximately 45 minutes to the base of Mount Bulla and 5 minutes walk to Lake Eildon. 15 minute walk along rail trail or 3 minute drive gets you to the hotel that has meals every day. The apartment has a kitchenette that includes a Microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, coffee machine, hotplate, all cutlery, Airfryer crockery etc.. BBQ and Pizza.

I paid too much for this quietly confident bedsitter, but there's so much to love. It was initially built in the late 1800s and found a second life when it was dressed in glossy green tiles by architect Robert Haddon during the Vienna Secession period. A bold choice for an era when society was adjusting to the shock and awe of a naked ankle. Rumour has it this was the HQ for A-lister debauchery (apparently, Elton John and Barbara Streisand have partied here), but who knows?
