Our favourite eating places nearby are Swinside Inn and the Ivy Restaurant in Braithwaite. Keswick is a mere 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk for eating out, shopping and outdoor sports.

Views are across Newlands Valley to Catbells mountain affording immediate access for fell walking. Comfortably furnished to provide a kitchen and dining area plus sofa and chair downstairs with a bedroom and en-suite shower upstairs. There's a smart TV in the lounge. The beds can be configured as either super king or twin single beds by contacting host in advance.

The famous Coledale horseshoe ridge walk starts and finishes in the village. The popular mountain biking trail centre at Whinlatter Forrest is less than 2 miles from the cottage.

The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.

We are a nature friendly farm at the foot of Catbells. Great walking straight from the door. We cater for walkers and cyclists who will appreciate the peace and quiet of the location. The accommodation is very basic with a small kitchen area, a wood burning stove, 3 single mattresses, and a double bed on the mezzanine. The bathroom is next to the camping barn, and there is a washing up area outside. The barn will be exclusively for your use, it is not shared.
