At the edge of the Ozarks in the heart of green country is a small cottage located on a beautiful one acre spring feed pond. You can see the spring gushing out of the hillside. Our cottage is small, cozy, and very relaxing. Whether you are kicking back watching the tube or paddling around the pond you will feel right at home and may not want to leave. Set on 250 acres that include Clear Creek, bluffs, pastures, and forest, the farmhouse offers seclusion and quiet for one or two people looking for a getaway. There are paths to wander, a deck to sit on overlooking a pasture, thousands of books to peruse, old maps, a turntable with some eclectic vinyl, and farmdogs who love new people. We live on site and can tell stories or let you be. We prefer some dialog before booking.

It is walking distance from two of Chouteau's famous restaurants, the Dutch Pantry and Amish Cheese House. Nettie Ann's Bakery is right next to the Amish Cheese House. There is a garage to park your vehicle inside, the second garage is available if you let us know ahead of time."
