Relax at this peaceful place .Secluded on 42 acres and located 12 miles from Toledo Bend Reservoir. The lake has an area of 185,000 acres and is known for its large mouth bass fishing. Bring your bass boat or rv there is plenty of room. We have electric and water for your rv hook-up . There are free range chickens, and 2 historic buildings on-site. One of them was once a drug store where you would pull up with a horse and buggy.The other house was built in 1850. There is new internet service .

Keep an eye out for Bald Eagles. Explore nearby coves from our kayaks, jump in the lake from our swimming platform, fish from our piers, or lounge by the campfire. Toledo Bend Lake, one of the premier bass fishing lakes in the country, and we have the best crappie fishing right below our marina just steps away.

The Red House on Cross Lake

This is a Cross Lake cabin that we renovated from an old catfish restaurant built in the early 1930's. We call it the RED HOUSE. There are three cabins on the property that we also use for visiting family and friends. We live on the property behind the houses and we all use the property and pier. Guest also have use of the pier/boat house. The house is at the end of the road on the lake. Although family also uses the property the cabin is quiet and private with a great view of the open lake.

Our one bedroom guest house has 1 queen bed in bedroom. There are 2 cots or queen air mattress for 2 others. There is washer/dryer, patio with grill, full kitchen, furnished with everything you need to cook including air fryer, microwave, and crock pot!! Ask about discounts! Come enjoy the country!

Much more than an overnight stay, this is an experience. Come to the country to get away from it all. Enjoy the great outdoors in this quaint little cabin that allows outdoor relaxing under a fully covered porch. Catch a fish, roast a s'more or pet a goat. Golf cart available for touring around. Glamping at its best. Finally had to give in to technology and add WIFI for guests (free) and added a cell phone booster as well for better outside communication when needed. Pool is now available.

Originally built in 1924 this tiny but mighty space was completely remodeled in 2021. 1 queen bed with a max of 2 guests. There is room to relax along with a private outdoor space, 1 covered parking space, and more parking available on the street. Washer/dryer available for guest use. Close to everywhere you want to go while in town! No pets. No events. No smoking.

We have a farmhouse-themed guest apartment with its own private entrance and private deck with a view of a private lake through the trees in the piney woods of East Texas. The room features brand new appliances as well as a coffee bar. There is a very comfortable king-sized bed and a hide-a-bed. There is plenty of closet space. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and utensils. The laundry room is also accessible. This listing is attached to my house but we are quiet neighbors!
