The Bird and Bike

This little flat, built into the end of our shed, is simple but quirky. Don't expect all brand spanking new plates and cutlery from Ikea - we've upcycled almost everything (except linen and towels). Set 30 metres from the main house, you'll have privacy to come and go as you please, but we love a chat if you do too! We're on 5 acres. Birdlife is right outside your door (- often including our chickens!). We're ten minutes walk from a beautiful estuary beach and 4km out of Marlo township.

Koala Kottage’s refurbished interior features a living area, dining area, exquisite large en suite bathroom with garden courtyard view and an ultra modern fully equipped kitchen . There is also an eating area and BBQ outside on the vine covered deck or make use of the seated fire pit area with a barbecue cooking plate . The Kottage features vaulted timber lined ceilings with sky light. Surrounded by a natural habitat of gum trees, koalas, kangaroos and colourful native birds.

The house has a new kitchen with Miele appliances including an inbuilt coffee machine. 2 new bathrooms, one is outdoors with stone bath under the stars. Large front deck with a lovely view of the sunset over the lake and a great back yard with fire pit and hydrotherapy hot tub. Set on the beautiful Gippsland lakes, this newly renovated cottage has everything you need for a luxurious and comfortable trip away. The cottage is located in Marine Parade behind an art gallery, everything is in walking distance, with space to park your car and boats. (A mooring on the adjacent jetty is available for additional fee). Across the road from the property is the beautiful Gippsland lake, ready for you to put the boat in and explore.

As evidenced by the feature photo, the house offers sweeping views of Lake King and the Boole Poole Peninsula. This panoramic view now includes the Metung Hot Springs resort, our new neighbours, positioned some 20 metres from our water view deck.
