First floor bathroom with over bath shower, The top floor bedroom has en-suite shower room. As the house is reached via stairway it is sadly unsuitable for less able travellers.

Enjoy the exclusive use of The Laithes Cottages with a 3-bed and a 2-bed cottage set in a private courtyard with gardens. The cottages can accommodate a maximum of 8 adults sharing and 2 kids. Cottage 1 benefits from 2 king size bedrooms, a kid’s bunk room, beautiful sitting room, kitchen and utility. Cottage 2 enjoys a super-king bedroom and small double bedroom with sitting/diner, record player and galley kitchen. Both cottages share a courtyard and a garden with sweeping countryside views.

Farrier's House near Ullswater

Farrier's house is a renovated barn conversion that was previously a farm shop. The house is located in the village of Stainton which is located 5 mins from the edge of the Lake District. It is only 5 minutes from Penrith, 10 minutes from Ullswater and 20 minutes from Keswick. Dogs are more than welcome! We also rent out Black Mesa on AirBnB should you need another property for friends and family! We live just down the road and so if you have any questions or problems we can quickly help.

It is in an ideal location with some of the Lake’s most iconic places such as Ullswater, Helvellyn and Blencathra only a short drive away. Greystoke has a shop/post office, outdoor pool and the excellent Boot and Shoe pub is around the corner.

The location is perfectly situated to take advantage of the amenities in Penrith, close to train and bus stations, restaurants and takeaways, whilst being just a short drive to Ullswater.

Our mid-terraced cottage sleeps up to five guests in its three well-presented bedrooms, one of which is en-suite. The heart of the home is its living room, complete with a multi-fuel stove which brings some extra cosiness in the colder months, or somewhere to dry your boots after a day in the fells. We have free parking for two cars on the driveway outside the house, and around the back is a shared garden with outdoor seating, ideal for al fresco dining when the sun is shining!

The Barn can be booked along with The Byre next door for pairs of couples.

A spacious and beautifully converted cottage set within the grand surroundings of an old folly dating back to the 1700s. It is a peaceful, rural setting in striking distance of the Lake District, the Eden Valley and the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage is less than 1 mile from the delightful village of Greystoke and about a 10 min drive from the M6/A66/A6. The cottage is great for families, couples, solo or business travellers. Pets are very welcome.
