Foulis Gate Lodge is a Highland cottage on the Gates of an historic, private, Highland estate with its own drive. The secluded location offers direct access to extensive gardens. The nearest amenities are 2miles in Evanton or 5miles to the ancient Burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm). My place is good for NC500 travellers, couples, and business travellers.

There are numerous walking and mountain biking routes direct from the door, paddle board in loch Laggan or maybe some wild swimming in the nearby Pattack river. The cottage is the perfect base to explore east or west highlands.

It boasts views of Loch Mhor and the Monadhliath Mountains which can be enjoyed from the comforts of the sofa and woodburning stove if the temperamental Scottish weather is up to its old tricks! Steeped in history the local area offers numerous opportunities to delve into Scotland's past by visiting such sites as Culloden Moor, Clava Cairns and the many castles and brochs.
