Thabela House is a charming family home that was originally built in 1937, upgraded in 1987 by the previous owners and again in 2017 by the current owner. It still features the original pressed high ceilings, and the wooden flooring. The name Thabela is one of the praise or clan names for the surname Gasa, the founder of Thabela House. This was done as a tribute to her ancestors, and her family at large. Family is not just an important part of our lives, it's everything.

A private self-contained lock-up and go guest suite with unrestricted 24/7 access. 2.5 km from Unisa, 10,2 km from Monash University, 12,3 km from University of Johannesburg (UJ) and 16 km from University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). Guests do not have to share any spaces within the home with any members of the household as it is a totally independent unit even though it is situated within the main house. The only shared areas are outside in the garden and at the pool.

Inverters on property to assist during load shedding For long stays, longer than a month, guest need to top up electricity after exceeding the 300 units we supply on prepaid meter. As we have a gas geyser and gas stove, above mentioned units are very generous

There is a lovely private outdoor space with a table and chairs for relaxing. We have solar backup so generally have no load shedding issues. There is parking for one car. We are close to restaurants, shops, movies, Delta Park and the Rosebank Gautrain. A perfect home away from home for work or a weekend getaway!
