Situated in the grounds of the owner’s working farm, who are on hand to offer advice on the local area, the cottages are in an excellent central location on the Tipperary/Offaly border, almost equidistant from the picturesque town of Birr, 7½km, and one of the oldest towns in Ireland, Roscrea, 6km, and a 2km drive from Gloster house and wedding venue.

If desired, we are delighted to guide you through the house and share with you almost 200 years of our home's rich history. Roam freely through our 120 acres of gardens, farmland and woodlands, or enjoy a guided tour of our grounds and learn of present day efforts to transform our land into a nature reserve.

All our cabins combine modern finishes and rustic county charms. 3 Bedroom cottage in the heart of Kinnitty village in a quiet Cul de sac. Close to all local amenities including a shop, 2 pubs, Cafe & playground. A great place to base yourself to attend a wedding in Kinnitty castle or go exploring the Slieve Blooms mountains and bike trails, walks & horse riding or just to unwind and relax. Only a short drive from the historical town of Birr where you will find the magnificent Birr Castle, and 15 mins drive to Lough Bora Discovery Park.

The Clonmellon Lodge is an 18th c. gothic mini castle recently restored, newly refurbished bathrooms and kitchen, all in one floor, with easy access to the grounds of Killua Castle. The Lodge can fit 5 people comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The first one with an ( American) Queen size bed, and the second with a double size bed. There is an office with a daybed that can sleep an small adult comfortably, and it has a full bathroom next to it.
