Nature Lovers’ and Birders’ Red Bluff River Haven

A unique river retreat for relaxing and viewing wildlife. We are minutes from extensive trails and about an hour from Lassen Park. Our house has fragile and antique components and is not suited for pets, groups or children. If you are ok with quirky, imperfect, au natural and "wild" (possibility of snakes and spiders) we have your place! With windows along most of the east side, you will almost always have a view of the Sacramento River. This is not a cookie cutter house—please read listing.

The Orchard House

Enjoy staying in a family owned working walnut orchard. The house is located in the middle of 16 acres of walnuts and it backs up to a Miniature Donkey Ranch. There are approximately 1200 trees and amongst them you will find peace and tranquility along with Uncle Jacks Walnut Camp, which is a a family camp ground only. There you will find picnic tables, and horse shoe pits. There is also an outdoor cat name Kittley who lives on the property, but stays outside, so please don't let her in.

Our charming cabin is nestled on a private road with breathtaking ridge views, just 20 minutes away from the Lassen Volcanic National Park. Immerse yourself in nature as you hike to Lassen Peak, Bumpass Hell, and Cinder Cone. With less than an hour drive you can witness the beauty of Burney Falls or fish at Hat Creek. In the winter, enjoy the snow play at Eskimo Hill or strap on your snowshoes and explore the winter landscapes around Manzanita Lake. Gas/grocery are only a few mins drive.

This guest-house cabin is nestled on our family’s 5 acres in the pine forests of the Sierra Nevadas. Only 3hrs from San Francisco, 2hrs from Sacramento, and 20min from Chico, come unplug in this newly remodeled space and enjoy a slice of authentic rural living. Step up into the kitchen with full fridge/stove/microwave/dining table. Bathroom w deep tub/shower, washer/dryer. From living room, step down to enter bedroom with queen bed and vaulted ceilings. Additional fees 10% TOT tax and a new 2.5% tourism fee (BCTBID assessment) will be collected as of September 1st.
