Unique Woods Retreat ~ Quiet place in Nature

Our cabin in the woods is a quiet refuge, not a party place. Built with many unique features: log cabin room with vaulted ceiling, log walls in kitchenette/upstairs small dinette seating area and log wall in sunroom. Carriage style Barn doors, from grandparents old chicken coop. The metal stair railing designed & laser cut with pine trees. Downstairs walkout basement has concrete log beams & posts, as well as some concrete tree branches. Trails are for quiet travel only, no motors.

Cousin Cottage

Kick back and relax in this tranquil, stylish space. Indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit (with plenty of wood) and outdoor dining space. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need (small appliances, pots & pans, utensils, etc). Dining table with family games. Right across the street from the lake on the south shore. Located within walking distance to restaurants, stores, ice cream shop, etc. Half a block lake access for ice fishing and snowmobiling. No pets please.

Just South of Heaven

Just South of Heaven is located near Clare, Michigan, the “Gateway to the North”. A great place to enjoy all the activities that Northern Michigan has to offer. This 2 bedroom, 1 bath home gives you full access to 10 acres of property with a large yard and 2 car garage. Hosts Luke and Angie live next door with 2 sons, 1 very friendly dog and 2 cats. Au Sable River Getaway

One mile from the Mason Wilderness Tract, view eagles, deer and other wildlife out the front door, relax beside the peaceful South Branch of the Au Sable, a trout stream (catch and release, please), hunt in fall, enjoy cross-country skiing at several nearby trails including the 12-mile-long Mason Tract Trail, ski rentals, lessons and trails nearby. The house is very comfortable and is ready for a relaxing stay in the woods. It's only 1 mile from South Higgins Lake State Park and Marl Lake, which are the best places around for swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, and canoeing. It's a 12 min drive to Roscommon and a 20 min drive to Houghten Lake, where you can find anything you need or want, including more beaches and water sports.
