An oasis of peace and tranquility on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Country walks, wildlife and two village pubs on the doorstep. Perfectly placed for visiting local hot spots like Haworth and 'Happy Valley' country, with the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales around. Jane's Lodge is on a small farm, there may be sheep in our fields. As such we can not accept dogs or pets of any size, however well behaved. We are not suitable for children, toddlers or babies. Jane’s Lodge is strictly no smoking.

Located in a quiet cul du sac in the historic market town of Kendal with convenient access to the M6, Lake District & Yorkshire dales. The cosy cabin suitable for a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children is a 20min walk to town centre along the scenic River Kent or a 4 minute walk to the fantastic Romney’s pub with its fabulous food & fine ales. There is parking available & a private outside decking area. Don’t want to walk ? We are a 30sec walk to the bus stop 2 minutes from the property.

The Roost at Greta Mount

Relax at this peaceful retreat in the Lune Valley , ideal for couples or families with one child , on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and only a short drive from the Lake District. The Deer Lodge is one of three nearly identical lodges set in a quiet wooded corner of our 20 acre estate on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. There are no roads bordering the guest areas so expect a quiet and peaceful stay, surrounded by nature and away from it all! The lodge has no cooking facilities but has a fridge with icebox as well as a selection of tea & coffee. We have a cosy indoor BBQ hut available to book for the evening with all cooking tools & charcoal provided.
