We have to offer a very clean and comfortable stay in our large new, detached family home. The room is large and has a double bed. It also has a relaxing seating area with comfy sofa and TV. We also have a second guest bedroom that is available also in the photos ) if there are more of you travelling together. For those of you with small children we do have a kids bedroom with bunk beds and if you discuss this with me we can make this available too. In the build of our home we have used a large amount of oak timber and this gives us a very light and natural feel.
We welcome Airbnb guests to stay with us and appreciate what guests are looking for, as we, ourselves have traveled and know that we much like to find a home from home - which is what we are offering you in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Breakfast is included and you can also have the use of our kitchen if you would like to prepare any other meals during your stay. Large bright bathroom available for your use (this may be shared at some times with other guests but we do also have a second shower room/wc for your use - so need to worry about it being in use!)
We can help and advise you with any exploring or travel arrangement you require when staying with us.
Located in the picturesque village of Birgham which lies in the Scottish Borders. Ideally situated for exploring all the Borders towns, steeped in history with their Abbeys, Castles & monuments. Whilst at the same time giving easy access to Northumberland with it`s beautiful sandy beaches, castles and rivers.
Our area is famous for salmon fishing on the River Tweed (the river is a lovely 5 minute walk from our home), many golf courses including the famous Roxburghe Championship Course - owned by the Duke of Roxburghe. You can also visit his home, Floors Castle located in Kelso ( a 10 minute drive from us).
The village has a traditional family pub which offers lovely home cooked meals and traditional beers and drinks. The main shopping town of Kelso where we shop has many independent run shops, eateries, coffee shops, gift shops and are very fortunate to have excellent butchers and fishmonger.
We look forward to welcoming you to our home.
The nearest airport is Edinburgh or Newcastle, both about an hour and 15 minutes away and nearest train station is Berwick on Tweed, 40 minutes drive away. To experience the most of the Borders Area you would require to have your own transport or hire a car as public transport is not that great in Scotland.
