A lovely sweet home! It's a very quiet place with a cute dog. Not too far away from the subway station. It feels like at home instead of hostel, so you can relax and have a wonderful time there. Also the host is very hospitality, she help us with many things. Really like this house!

Staying at Chika's was 1 of the 2 highlights of my 17-day visit to Japan (half of Honshu, from Sendai to Hiroshima). We became friends. She invited me to return and bring my wife next time. Chika met me at the subway stop nearest her home and walked with me to her house. The next day, she walked me to the University campus for my conference. That next night, she rescued me when I got lost combing back. She did a wonderful job of teaching me a bit of Japanese. A spoke only a little Japanese and she spoke but a little more English. Communicating with her was a wonderful adventure. Chika was always upbeat and helpful. She made each meal a special event, even with simple foods (what I asked for). She indulged me in sharing dozens of my photos to her, with long commentary about who all these people were in the history of my life. She is a good listener. She made her home my home while I was there. She even had a delightful little dog for me to make friends with. And she introduced me to a wonderful balcony trying drying rack for the clothes I washed. I hope to stay friends with Chika over the years to come.
