Perfect for couples, our bijou studio at just 25 sq.m. is a light space with slate floors, full of contemporary art and mid-century furniture; perhaps the most stylish stable in Solva! It has a mini-kitchenette with dishwasher, wetroom & rainshower, log burner, Wi-Fi and Smart TV.
The studio is located in the garden of Art and Accommodation at Haroldston House in Upper Solva. It is accessed through the hall and garden of the Georgian house, down a flight of stone steps and through the garden.
O espaço
The garden if for guests' sole use and there is garden furniture, a parasol, barbecue, chiminea and wood-fired pizza oven (there are also complimentary homemade pizza bases in the fridge icebox to get you started).
You are welcome to enjoy the art in the public spaces of the house, and browse the guide books and information - as well as use the washing machine and dryer.
Check-in is between 4pm and 10pm, with check-out by 12 noon. We will be around to welcome you on your arrival, and are generally around as we live in the house too, and if you would like any suggestions or recommendations.
Haroldston House is carbon neutral and we leave you complimentary provisions for your first breakfast in the fridge.
There is free parking available in a public parking area opposite the main house, approximately 30m up the road. Unfortunately, there is no facility for bike storage in the house or in the garden, as access to the Stable Studio is through the main house.
Haroldston House lies in Pembrokeshire's most picturesque harbour village of Solva. Just a few minutes' walk down the hill to the restaurants, pubs and shops of Solva, as well as the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, we are the ideal holiday base from which to explore the St Davids Peninsula and North Pembrokeshire.
Solva makes an ideal base from which to spend a few days exploring the beautiful St Davids Peninsula – whether by touring, coasteering or on Pembrokeshire’s world-famous coastal path, which takes you through the contrasting seascapes of the peninsula’s three shores. Exposed cliffs, beautiful beaches and coves, prehistoric vestiges and the post-industrial landscape of the promontory are all within a few miles of Haroldston House.
The nearest railway station is Haverfordwest (21 km away) and ferry port is Fishguard (26 km away). Buses run during the day (except Sundays) and there are also walkers' buses which run along the coast. Search for Traveline Cymru for timetables or download their app. There are also local taxi companies.

Outras coisas a ter em conta
- Parking is off-site and there is no space to store bikes.

- There is no phone signal for some mobile phone networks, so please bear this in mind if you are on holiday with relatives in other accommodation; however, there is Wi-Fi.
- You are also welcome to use the house phone for dinner reservations etc.
- We would ask you to respect our Blue Room guests’ privacy if coming through the house early in the morning or late at night.
- The garden is your private space, but we will water plants and replenish your log store when you are not in residence; the window cleaner will also come once a month, but we will let you know when he is due.

Solva, Pembrokeshire, Reino Unido
Solva/Solfach is an exceptional spot in Pembrokeshire. Its distinctive, sinuous harbour mouth is a ‘ria’ – a drowned river valley from the Ice Age – whose steep sides and dramatic light contrast with much of south Wales’ gentle coastal scenery. What is now a peaceful cove of bobbing boats was once a heaving industrial settlement (Solva retains its distinctive circular limekilns), a smugglers’ paradise (with its tortuous harbour mouth) and – most surprisingly of all – a transatlantic gateway (steamship passages to the USA were briefly sold here in the 1840s for £3 per adult)!
Nowadays, visitors dropping in from the surrounding Pembrokeshire Coast Path relax in one of the village’s four hostelries (poor St Davids, 3 miles distant, was always a ‘holy’ pilgrimage city – and thus restricted to a single pub!). Alternatively, they may browse the multicoloured portals of the sprawling Window on Wales emporium, or take in a cream tea at a local cafe or a spot of crabbing before setting out, fortified, on the clifftop path once again.
