Unfortunately this stay fell short of my previous experiences with Airbnb. Nothing individually disastrous but the overall combination of hospitality, flexibility, value, cleanliness and professionalism that i usually use to justify Airbnb vs. a hotel room didn't work out for me…

Brian makes a really good point about the difference between the offering of a hotel v Airbnb. As far as we are concerned the guest who requires instant gratification is best suited to a hotel concierge experience since, like many Airbnb owners, we live and work off site. So when Bryan demands the flexibility of an early check in at short notice because he arrives early , then requests a late departure upon his arrival, that may be difficult for a working owner who does not live at the property to provide even though we took time off work at our expense to accommodate. Similarly, a 1:58 in the morning request for an extra toilet roll was provided at 9:00 am the same morning without so much as a thank you which maybe easier for an on site concierge. When on arrival a personal hospitality tour of the area and property is refused by the guest, it maybe unreasonable after departure to complain that they did nt know how to operate a TV. Also, we request that guests upon departure leave their used towels in the bath so we only wash used towels and remove basic trash which Bryan found unreasonable. We apologize. We believe our whole flat proposition in a prime location - at easily less than half the price of just a room in the neighboring hotels - offers fantastic value. Having made these points, we appreciate that 'feedback is the breakfast of champions' and are grateful for these observations. If Bryan wishes to try us again we would be happy to accommodate and offer a very reasonable discount as a thank you for his comments. Thanks again and best wishes.
