This is a fresh and beautifully designed six-bedroomed detached villa on two levels, featuring contemporary décor with wooden floors and modern bathroom facilities. The property has a wonderfully bright reception room - with substantial area, well equipped for entertaining, eating and seating, incorporating solid oak traditional open-plan kitchen with open-vaulted cathedral ceiling and well appointed appliances. French doors provide level access to timber-decked terrace and extensive (1.5 acre) ultra-private garden. A hot tub will be available from September 2021. {For the avoidance of doubt, this is a 7-person heated tub pool - NOT a swimming pool - for the private use of guests, and its usage will be subject to specific safety rules.}

It comprises reception hall, lounge/sitting room, home office/working area, six bedrooms (with the 6th bedroom doubling as a second lounge), double-basin master bathroom plus two shower rooms with basins plus WCs (three bathrooms in all). [ie. Accommodation comprises 1 twin, 1 double, 4 quadruple/family bedrooms.] Main living-reception area has a further large double sofabed (nb. limited privacy). All rooms and lounges are spacious enough for flexibility in accommodating extra children or adults, with additional folding beds.

The property is centrally heated by a gas-fired combination boiler, plus the lounge has a real log/coal fire to help make evenings more cozy. Other facilities include a utility/laundry room with fitted washing machine, a single garage plus roof terrace above and plenty of fitted wardrobes / cupboards / drawer chests providing ample storage. Fresh bed linen and towels will be provided, and can be changed when guests stay for longer durations. Kitchen, dining and cookware is ample for all your cooking, baking and eating needs.

Oh, and for 'Baby-Toddler' clobber, your hosts will provide travel cots, high chairs, stair gates, games and toys. Childrens' plastic cutlery and 'crockery' is also on hand. So, you don't need to pack all that clobber!

Pleasant Hill is a well-established family residence in an ultra-private situation within a quiet residential area that leads via direct transport to the city centre.The interior space extends to 2400 square feet. Externally, the wider garden area extends to 1.5 acres in size. From August2021, the ultra-private garden will also feature a 7-person hot tub, 14’ trampoline, children's treehouse and gas BBQ (small extra charge). Within the villa’s grounds, as well as the trampoline, there are garden games such as croquet, rugby/footballs, boules/petanque, quoits - providing a wide area for exercising, outdoor games or running around. For wet/indoor days, there are a wide range of board games to keep everyone entertained.

Milngavie is ranked Scotland’s most beautiful mainland town centre and is one of Glasgow’s most sought-after semi-urban/semi-rural areas with easy access to the city centre. The village is situated on the edge of the beautiful Mugdock Country Park with the West Highland Way starting close by. Loch Lomond, Loch Katrine, the many hills and the Trossachs National Park are all easily accessible.

Reaching the Forth-Clyde Canal paths, with its flat cycle tracks, is also effortless. With proximity to stunning scenery everywhere to be seen, Milngavie remains one of the most beautiful and rewarding places to visit in Scotland.

As well as its rich history (Rockbank next door is one of the oldest in the area), Milngavie is served by a wide range of retailers, restaurants and pleasant inns. In addition, it has fantastic facilities that include grocery supermarkets, leisure and sports centres, golf courses, cinema complexes, as well as easy access to Glasgow’s renowned concert and theatre venues.

The village also benefits from fantastic transport links for the M8 to Edinburgh, A9 to Stirling/Perth or M74 to the South and England. With its frequent and efficient local and main line railway networks, Glasgow is easily accessible by car or train, and well serviced by two local airports. Recent guests have used this as a base to visit Fort William, the Glenfinnan ['Hogwarts Express'] viaduct, Oban & Inverness [Loch Ness].
