Outras coisas a ter em conta

Our recommendation for visiting this location
1.Dubrovnik – it is considered to be one of the most beautiful European cities. It is under UNESCO protection. It is famous for its walls – 1940m long, which surrounds it and is the symbol of the city. You can climb the wall – in June and July it’s open from 8:00 till 19:30h –in August and September it’s open from 8:00 till 18:30h and price of the tickets: 150kn adults and 50kn children. It has become even more popular after becoming the filming location for Game of Thrones, and recently new James Bond movie and new Star Wars movie.
2.Korčula – old town surrounded by walls. Marco Polo from there and you can still see his house. There is a little ferry to Korčula from Orebić that goes every day from (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) and return hours are: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). Ticket price in one direction is 15kn, and for children under age of 12 is 7,5kn. Also you can take water taxi at Korčula and go to nearby islands.
3.Orebić – place of sea captains. You can visit nautical museum which is open during the week from 7:00-22:00 and on the weekends from 18:00-22:00. Ticket price is 15kn and for children 10kn.
Above Orebić, 152m above the sea is Franciscan (Franjevački) monastery, which was built at the end of 16th century in gothic- renaissance style and has beautiful view of the cost and sea – something that is definitely worth your time.
4.Nation Park Mljet – it makes 1/3 of the Mljet island and it contains 2 lakes, named Big lake (Veliko jezero) and Small lake (Malo jezero). You can go to Mljet with ferry from Prapratnog, Pelješac. Walking on wall is available every day between 8:00-18:30h and the ticket price is 50kn for adults and 30kn for children. This little town is known for its oldest and still active saltworks in the world. (the salt they are producing is completely natural). Ston bay is also famous for shellfish farming: oysters and mussels, which you can try at the restaurants there (something that you shouldn’t miss).
6.Tunnel Dingač – at Potomje, is long 400m and it ends up at the south of Pelješac where you can see beautiful vineyards which at some part are “hanging” above the sea. Potomje is the centar of production of finest red wines in Croatia (Dingač, Plavac, Postup) – it’s recommended to visit vineyard Matuško at Potomje before entering the tunnel Dingač.

Our host made us feel very welcome right from the start by sending lots of information about what to do and see in the area and also asking if there was any other information we needed. Nearer departure time they sent very accurate instructions on how to get to the villa from the airport, including street view images of turning points and where they would meet us! When we got to the villa there was a 'welcome pack' of food basics in the refrigerator as well as dishwasher tabs and washing powder but also 2 beautiful baskets of local produce - wine, olive oil, figs etc. Our host also stressed to us that this was now our home! The description of the house was accurate and it was immaculately clean and well equipped. The neighbourhood was just what we wanted - very quiet with a mixture of other small family villas, olive groves and small vineyards. There is a small campsite but again this was very family oriented and most importantly - quiet. The campsite had a small café / bar at the beach which was great for lunches during the day and a cool drink in the evening. There was a also a restaurant with very friendly staff and good food.
