Hello, Yvette, I am sorry you had a bad stay. As we discussed, I had forgotten to put away the cat perch next to the window which is what you chose to sit on and which is likely what triggered your allergies. The floors, bed, chair, and couch were cleaned after removing the cats per your instructions before you arrived. However, as disclosed in the house manual and additional rules, this is a lived-in apartment for the cost of daily rent and I have a full-time job that often has me at the office for 12 to 18 hours a day. One other review did mention a problem with cat allergies but, like you, she chose to stay here despite being warned about the cats and having the cats on the premises. I also use the Downy scent boosters which can trigger allergies or asthma, which is why I ask about whether or not you have any sensitivities prior to arriving. I attempted to resolve the issue immediately upon being notified but it was hours after the problem came to light. Your slow and incomplete communication style is what prevented the refund from taking place sooner. Had you informed me right away, steps could have been taken to get the refund to you sooner, including if you had accepted the reservation change request I immediately sent before the second night of your reservation. So you not only got free beer and cider from my refrigerator, you also got a free night to stay despite the extra efforts I took to accommodate you.
