Welcome to the cottages (Gîtes) of Château de Chanzé and discover ‘la douceur Angevine’ the sweetness of the Anjou. Well equipped and comfortable with easy access to the swimming pool and beside the gently meandering Layon River. In the heart of the Coteaux du Layon vineyards, farmland and cycle trails; it is ideally situated for exploring the region.
The farm buildings which formerly served Château de Chanzé have been completely and lovingly restored into Gîtes (self-contained cottages) while retaining the original rustic character.
The three adjoining Gîtes are convenient and comfortable with upstairs bedroom and downstairs living area with a sofa bed. All have a view of the Castle and private tours can be arranged.
Each Gîte contains a kitchen with dishwasher, stove top elements, toaster oven, cooking equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Linen and towels are provided.
An outdoor area is attached to each Gîte while all guests have shared access to the WIFI Lounge, a small barbeque, boules court, 14x6m heated swimming pool and sun terrace with outdoor furniture.

Bonjour! Kia Ora! Hello! We’re proud to introduce ourselves as the Operators and Guardians of the Château which has been in the Stosser family for over 20 years. Michael originates from Switzerland while Sonia (that’s me), hail from Aotearoa - New Zealand.
As self-confessed gourmands we share a love for good food, wine, music and great company which can be found in abundance in the surrounding region of the Loire Valley.
Michael trained in Hotel and Restaurant Management in Lucerne and in the ‘off’ season works as a private tour guide in New Zealand. This is perfectly combined with Sonia’s background in hospitality and wine and spirits marketing to set a relaxed and friendly yet efficient style of management amongst this beautiful setting.
As a well travelled European Michael is fluent in Swiss (German), High German, French (well mostly) and English while I am very fluent at ‘Kiwi’ and currently working on my French.
