Keiran booked the house for six people. At the time, I believed that he would be staying with the other guests. I then received a phone call from one of the guests who informed me that Keiran was his boss and that he was not staying with them. Naturally, this caused me concern because I would not have accepted a third party booking if I had known.
After the stay, the cleaning company informed me that a bed frame had been broken and the bed was unusable and that there was damage to the ceiling. A photograph was taken and I arranged for a local company to carry out the repairs. Airbnb was informed only because Kieran did not report any damage and was not replying to any messages. A photograph and evidence was uploaded to Airbnb at the time. Much later Kieran messaged me to say ‘one of the guys has said the bed is his fault’.
Keiran says that he was overcharged by Airbnb. I received the correct rate from Airbnb and so I have repeatedly asked him to pursue this matter with Airbnb, not me (as advised by the company).
I note that Kieran has given us a low rating, but cleanliness, communications etc were all of the usual high standard.
