Spacious country retreat, yet minutes from civilisation on a small farm estate in Perth Hills 25 mins from airport. Walk to Restaurant and bus. Close to Araluen Botanic Gardens, Golf course, wineries. Property has 27 acres of amazing valley views with sheep, chickens and fruit trees. You have an entirely private ensuite room with separate entry and small kitchenette.
Idyllic peaceful farm setting with iconic Australian valley views, but close to city amenities, public transport, and restaurants. This is a place to unwind on the lush lawns, or set a cosy evening fire in the Glen by the banks of the Canning River. Scenic walks on the property or through the national park over the road. Your accommodation is spacious and private, on its own level, with ensuite, heating/cooling, basic cooking utensils, fridge, frypan and microwave. Access to shared BBQ available.
This is an incredibly easy weekend escape, with the opportunity to walk in the bush, commune with greedy sheep and playful goats, and visit local wineries and restaurants. Although most guests book for one night, a large number extend their stay, and the universal comment is "we wished we stayed longer". We have a surprising number of people who take advantage of our location to stay for a week or so for work.
Acesso de hóspedes
Access to the entire farm property, apart from the machinery sheds. This includes paddocks, riverbanks and house gardens. Fruit in season you may pick includes figs, guava, mandarines, grapes, mulberries, lemons and pecans.
Interação com hóspedes
We welcome interaction, and will haltingly attempt Italian, French and Japanese, however you may be as private as you like. We are happy to advise destinations and activities. If you would like to share a meal with us, indicate this in advance, and if it works for us all then all is good. A contribution of some kind (food, wine etc) would be appreciated. Sharing an evening drink any time is generally fine, just let us know as we will respect your privacy otherwise.
Outras coisas a ter em conta
We have had wedding ceremonies by the banks of the river in the Mason's Glen and in the house gardens. We are open to expressions of interest at fairly low cost. Although rural, we do have neighbours and so receptions could be considered, but only fairly quiet ones.
We have a portacot with change bench available for small ones. There are no private laundry facilities, however you are welcome to use ours.
Remember that this is rural Australia. We minimize risks as much as possible, but wildlife abounds and riverbanks have steep slopes and deep water.
This is a small working property with livestock. To manage them, please leave gates open or shut as you found them and do not chase stock. If you want to get up close, let us know.
No smoking anywhere on the property due to fire hazard.
If walking in the paddocks, closed shoes are highly recommended, and please remove shoes at the door.
A partir do dia 15 de Dezembro de 2017 - 01 de Março de 2018 a estadia mínima é de 2 noites.
I run a remote area construction company, am an occasional charter pilot, have a background in health and enjoy fine food, wine and conversation.
Always up for a unique experience which is why Airbnb is so appealing.
