Palazzo Masetti de Concina is one of the oldest buildings in San Daniele del Friuli, in the center of the town at the foot of the Carnic Pre-Alps, in the heart of Friuli. The Palazzo de Concina in San Daniele del Friuli with the castle were part of the estate owned by the Patriarch of Aquileia as early as 1063. During the Middle Ages, next to the lords of Varmo, he resided within the enclosure of the castle "the steward", person to which the Patriarch entrusted the management of its assets and the protection of its prerogatives to S. Daniele.. The lords of Varmo abandoned in fact S. Daniele after a fire, started by the peasants, destroyed the castle, and gave the feud in 1756 to Giacomo Concina. The family of Concina had made his fortune mainly with trade in timber that arrived in Latisana from Carnia and Austria, was then sent to Venice and from there sent only to the shipyards of the Adriatic, but as far as Sicily and Africa Northern. Giacomo Concina entrusted the design and reconstruction of the new building, instead of the house of the steward, architect - Chief Master Alberto Bertoli who worked there until 1782, when the two barns, one of which housed the stables were built , which opened south on gardens and viewpoints. In the eighteenth century, the halls, the rooms, the library and archives were carefully decorated; unfortunately most valuable objects were removed, damaged or destroyed either by the French during the Napoleonic occupation, which the Austro - Hungarian troops after the defeat of Caporetto. The building is now owned by the family Masetti Zannini de Concina, as descendants through the female from the last male heir, Corrado de Concina, who died in 1914. Since 1960 the restoration work that, although the property has suffered extensive damage have been taken with the earthquake of May 6, 1976, still they continue thanks to the passion and tenacity of the new generations.

San Daniele del Friuli è una località di straordinaria bellezza naturalistica, i cui dintorni fanno innamorare lo sguardo di chi li esplora. Se avete cani, portateli con voi, da me sono i benvenuti e soggiornano gratis! Venezia e San Daniele sono città dog - friendly: i nostri amici possono entrare nella maggior parte dei negozi, viaggiano gratis sui vaporetti ( a Venezia), e si divertiranno molto incontrando per strada i loro simili, passeggiando tra calli e campielli senza il pericolo delle macchine e dello smog. A San Daniele avrete un ottimo punto di partenza per dar sfogo al vostro talento da esploratori, e da degustatori di cibo e vino ottimi. Vi aspetto!
