Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families, big groups and up to 2 dogs. The cottage is centrally heated and also has log burners for that cosy feeling. It is 5 minutes walk from Dulverton town pubs and restaurants so park up at the end of the day and relax; no need to worry about whose turn to drive. There is a riverside garden on the other side of the road for use from Easter - September, great for a relaxing lunch and total peace.

O Espaço

There is a cosy sitting room with log burner, a separate dining room and a kitchen. A bathroom upstairs and a shower room downstairs. There are many places to visit on Exmoor eg Dunster Castle, Tarr Steps, Wimbleball lake for water activities, Lynton and Lynmouth, also snowdrop valley in February. The walking is fantastic with moorland and coastal areas, you can walk from the front door. Dulverton itself has a variety of shops, an art gallery, Exmoor National Park Headquarters and visitor centre and heritage centre to visit.

Acesso de hóspedes

You will have use of the whole cottage and we are happy to have dogs downstairs, they will need to bring their own dogbeds and food bowls. If you are cycling in the area we can provide space in a secured shed to store them.

Interação com hóspedes

If you should need us for any reason phone numbers are in the cottage file.

Outras coisas a ter em conta

Please be aware the garden is above the river with a low wall so children will need supervising.

Dulverton was a lovely place to stay and explore Exmoor. We did a couple of wonderful walks. The cottage was clean and as expected. Would be a bit small for 6 but ok for 4. An easy walk to the village. We ate at The Lion and would not recommend. Apparently the Woods is very good. Thanks for a lovely few days in rural England.

The cottage is has a lot of old charm and was very clean. For the four of us it was very spacious. The kitchen is fairly well equipped with the cutlery and cockery for breakfast and when we had takeaway. We also enjoyed the good heating in the cottage and the strong hot water in the shower. Having said all that, the best thing about the cottage is it's location, ie 5 minutes walk from the shops and we were able to do 2 lovely walks directly from the cottage. There is a bowl in the dining room with many useful flyers with maps and walking routes. The one downside of the cottage is the road the cottage is on. While it is not very busy, cars and large vehicles do come by fairly frequently, making it quite noisy, and I imagine it would be dangerous for young children, especially given that the road is two way and quite narrow. It also makes loading and unloading the car quite difficult. Overall we had a really great holiday and I would love to return, as the pros of the cottage outweighs its cons.

It is a lovely cottage and we love the town. It is comfortable and roomy and quaint. The cafes - especially Tantivy - and pubs are sweet with delicious local food. The walking and river is fantastic as are the public pathways. We were unprepared that it is on a busy street. Cars drive right in front of the house and it is one lane which meant noisy traffic jams and a challenge to walk out the door. Parking is difficult. We had to park in town and walk with our bags. Finally, to be there for a week - there could be supplies provided such as trash bags, salt, toilet roll. For wifi -- the cafe closes at 5 pm.

We are sorry you had some issues with your stay. Near the cottage the road narrows to one vehicle width which means occasionally people have to reverse and this can lead to the odd jam, this is a very small town with holiday traffic but this is not constant and can be walked past. Unloading can be done very near the cottage and often parking is available in the road however the carparks are within a 5-10 minute walk. We do supply spare toilet rolls in each bathroom as well as the one on the holder and a couple of spare rubbish bags. We did respond to your query regarding Wi-Fi explaining that the pubs, which are open until late and the Exmoor National Visitor Centre as well as the cafes have Wi-Fi, perhaps you did not receive this.

Fantastic country cottage. Better than the photos. Garden is across the road by the river and is a real bonus. Road is relatively quiet. Great location for a quick 5 min walk into the centre of Dulverton - a very pretty village with nice pubs and places to eat but not too touristy. Ideal for exploring Exmoor. A great few days stay - thank you.

Had everything we needed ..and we had a lovely stay ...the village was beautiful ..and so were the locals ..we had lovely food in the local pub ...the only downfall was that my partner and I are both disabled and their was no parking close to the property ..however their was a village carpark but was quite far for my partner who is a transplant patient to walk ..but we worked around around and had a great time xx
