Although, I have not met Jess personally, she has responded very quickly both times I have stayed at her place. I have on both occasions met her husband, who is as nice as they come. This time I was greeted by amazing SUNFLOWERS! She has an amazing herb garden, and there is a cute patio of the most comfy furniture to sit out and look at the sunflowers and all kinds of herbs. They have ALL kinds of pigs and the cutest piglets. As far as farms go, this one is A+, and constantly maintained, updated, and things change daily. Jess allowed me an early arrival so we could decompress before headed to Denison which is 4 easy miles away. The house has been gutted, is SO cute, clean, and very safe. There is an amazing kitchen, and plenty of space to chill and unwind. You do not need to be confined to your room which is large, spacious, and new bed. These are the type of people on which Airbnb was started, and thrives. Chef James is famous for BBQ, and the next time I'm in Columbus I'm going!

This was my first airBnb experience. It not only made me glad I tried airBnb but that Jess was the first host to introduce me to the service. Let me start with breakfast, because the Andersons have ruined me as far as bacon goes -- it was so delicious to have farm-fresh bacon the way they know how to fix it that store-bought will never rank! As I walked the wall of reprinted articles about their farm and barbeque enterprises (in the spacious dining room complete with a fireplace) it was easy to see why I was impressed. Then there are the homemade biscuits and home canned marmalade (I even got to try some grapefruit marmalade). Though the farm animals (some of which are pets and most of which are for pork production) are very nearby, the farmhouse where guests stay is lovely and quiet and not smelly as I had wondered. That may be because they seem to take a lot of care to humanely raise their hogs -- newly farrowed piglets were in with their mothers, all of whom were free to roam in their pens and even wallow up to their eyeballs as a hog loves to do. The piglets have their tails too, because as James put it, "they use them just like a horse does to keep flies off, so it seems right to leave them on." With their generous help, we got to pet a newly weaned pig, pet a donkey and hear some of the lore of the farm. A short seven minutes into Granville meant that we were close to everything there. As a city dweller, my only challenge sleeping on the farm was the quiet -- the bed was very nicely appointed and there was plenty of room for luggage, etc. in the Comfrey Room. We had tea in the morning from an ample selection in the farm kitchen and enjoyed on very comfortable patio furniture beside a charming vegetable and herb garden overlooked by towering sunflowers. The shared bathroom isn't yet remodeled (though sample tile for that is spread out on the sideboard in the kitchen) and well water stains the fixtures, but fresh water is provided in a beautiful silver tower in the kitchen so drinking water is not a problem. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay immensely.

The house is very cozy and it's nicely decorated. We made a last-minute booking. Jess was very helpful and friendly, though we met in person very briefly. Her husband James cooked us a very delicious breakfast and showed us around the farm. The place is very scenic and we'll definitely remember it. We are not used to country life so we found a couple things unusual (like neighbor's music at night, keeping lights all day long, etc) but nothing was really disturbing. We can't thank enough!
