Welcome to my secluded studio/sanctuary while I'm overseas. Newly renovated self contained hide-away, set in a native garden with serene sunsets. New kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, spacious studio space, furnishings, new timber floors. Separate entrance. Heat pump. Mountain views, bush walks, friendly South Hobart, 10 minutes drive to Hobart waterfront. Guests from all backgrounds welcome. Fast wifi. Somewhat minimalist naturalist finishes need care, it's not a place for rough and tumble.
This sunny, newly renovated space, has glazed bifold doors opening into a native garden serene with birdsong and big skies.
It's spacious and light-filled with a dining table and chairs, an armchair and rocking chair as well as a large new IKEA couch/trundle that serves as a single or opens out into a very comfortable queen size bed. There's a new kitchen with a new oven, gas hob, fridge and dishwasher, as well as a new bathroom. Leading off the main space is a cosy bedroom, with a queen-size bed, a wardrobe, bedside tables and a desk space. There is fast cable wifi. The studio has a dedicated parking space on the shared driveway. Further parking is available in the street. There is a path through the native trees, to a clearing with mountain views. The place is peaceful and full of native birds and their song; New Holland honeyeaters, fairy wrens, wattle birds, doves and a family of yellow spotted black cockatoos all visit regularly.

My husband Dave and I have been hosts for two years and superhosts for over 12 months. Anke is our co-host while we are overseas. She will welcome you and make time to give advice and help when requested, or leave you to discover Hobart's delights for yourselves, to make your visit everything you want it to be. We offer a healthy breakfast of muesli with yoghurt and fruit, artisan breads and local preserves, coffee and tea. Complimentary organic treats on your arrival.
Outras coisas a ter em conta
The studio is attached to our own home so we ask that you respect the peace and quiet that we offer, especially later in the evening. We like to tread lightly on our beautiful planet and ask you to consider the environment by using the heating thoughtfully. The heat pump is very powerful and the apartment is well insulated so it will heat up quickly. Please turn it off when you're out and overnight. It will heat the space again in a very short time. Closing the thermal curtains conserves the energy from the sunshine and keeps you warmer. Closing the bathroom door means that the underfloor heating will keep the bathroom warm. There is an electric blanket on the bed, again, best to put it on for 20mins before you go to bed and turn it off before you go to sleep, for safety and comfort, as well as energy conservation. We want you to be warm, but there's no need to waste the earth's energy resources. Natural surfaces need care especially the solid European oak kitchen tops with traditional oiled finish. Water splashes need to be wiped up. Wet or hot pans and mugs should not be left here as they will cause black water rings. There are plenty of heat mats and a large chopping board. please don't re-arrange these as they are there to protect the surface.
- The studio space is connected to of our peaceful home so we ask you to be thoughtful and considerate of that.
- Quiet hours include evenings and early morning, and we invite you to enjoy and share and respect the peace and quite of the place at other times too.
-Please note that the kitchen bench top is solid oak which is oiled. That means it will be stained by water. So please don't put wet objects on the wooden bench top surface. Splashes of water are OK but just need to be wiped dry as soon as possible.
-Please close the thermal curtains at night, to keep you cosy and warm, conserve energy and look after our wonderful environment. The heat pump is very powerful and will heat the space quickly, please turn it off when you're out and overnight. The bedroom heater is on a timer, but also has a switch you can use to adjust the thermostat or turn off.
- We ask you to help save on towel washing, to keep our environmental footprint light. Please could you leave used towels on the hooks in the bathroom, and leave unused towels folded on the shelf.
A partir do dia 01 de Novembro de 2017 - 28 de Fevereiro de 2018 a estadia mínima é de 4 noites.

I'm from England originally, half French too, and now Australian. Dave my husband and I live here in Paxton's beautiful Princes Park, Liverpool, in our heritage listed apartment. We love the vibrant arts and culture, food and music. Community, family and friends always call us back Come and share our tree top Liverpool home in an elegant Georgian villa in the park. We will share with you our favourite local secrets - cafes, arts venue, quirky surprises and natural wonders.
We spend some of the year in Tasmania where we love the wilderness, the laid back lifestyle...arts and music, cinema, great gourmet food and good coffee! We love Europe too especially France and Paris where my family are from. We enjoy bush walks, gardening and growing food, the beach and the Mountain and sharing time with friends. We've loved being AirBnB guests, staying somewhere homely and finding to what the locals like to do. We'd like to welcome others to our place as a home-from-home, sharing the special places we know and love. Live the wonder of the moment - it's sacred; we practice meditation and care about the environment and people.
